The National Labor Caucus of State Legislators

The National Labor Caucus of State Legislators is a bipartisan network of union member and union-friendly state lawmakers committed to advancing issues working families care about in state legislatures throughout the country.

In 28 states in 2005, members of the National Labor Caucus introduced and advocated for the Model Health Care Disclosure Act, which helped shine a spotlight on large, profitable companies such as Wal-Mart that shift health care costs onto state taxpayers.

The National Labor Caucus also played a large role in helping to catapult the “outsourcing” issue into the national debate in 2004 by introducing bills in more than 38 states to stop the export of U.S. jobs.
