More than 250 participants packed the East Brunswick, N.J., Hilton ballroom for the 13th annual Women in Leadership Development conference. More than 25 young workers in New Jersey took a step back in history during a tour of the American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark in Haledon. By understanding the past, young workers are developing the knowledge necessary to ensure a robust future for the labor movement. This is an ongoing theme of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO Young Workers program, and we thank Passaic County Youth Engagement in Solidarity (YES), the Passaic County Labor Council, the American Labor Museum and union affiliates for making this special event possible.

New Jersey State AFL-CIO Presents Union-Made Toy Collection to 'Toys for Tots'

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO, working together with its Executive Board members, central labor councils, Building Trades councils and affiliated unions, amassed a mountainous collection of union-made toys that was proudly presented to a team of U.S. Marines today in Trenton, on behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps' “Toys for Tots” program.
